Open Meeting Minutes Date: October 15, 2025

Attendance: Amanda Dunbar, Angela West, Cherie Piland, Joni Wellington, Jessica Miller, Tiffany Eskew, Mika Holman, Nicole Gross, Jillann Humphrey, Trisha Grambow, Mr. Olds, Mrs. Coursey, plus 5 parents. No attendees via zoom.
Executive Reports: President Report: Amanda Dunbar • Welcome
Secretary Report: Cherie Piland • Approve Minutes from the previous meeting - board approved (10/10 vote).
Treasurer’s Report: Tiffany Eskew • Current bank balance: Usable balance $17,588.97.
Committee Reports:
• Dine & Donate - Amadna Dunbar • 10/27 Machados Burgers, 20% of proceeds for all day and both locations. • 11/8 Eternal Art, 20% of proceeds for all day. • 11/24 El Gallo Negro, 15% of proceeds for all day. • 1/14 Kin • Himalayan is being rescheduled. • Dine and donate can be specific toward a teacher grant. Angela to ask teachers if they would like to participate with dine and donates.
• Swag- Amanda Dunbar • $30 blankets, $25 beanies, $20 cushions or 2 for $35, $5 lanyards
• See’s Candy- Amy Lydon • 11/3 start online sales and forms go home. 12/2 turn in date.
Other:
• Mr. Olds, present Music Department needs -Ms. West has provided budget thus far -He has done a lot of repairs independently on many instruments -Ordered various supplies himself -LBC supplying 7 instruments -He would like to create a stronger foundation of musicianship than what he currently has (not just pop) -Strings concert is covered but wind band only has one piece -requesting funding for concerts for a year -$760/concert $45-$60 per piece of music -No solo, duet, or quartet music -Can’t use HS music because it is a higher-level music than what our students are at -open to fundraising together -wants to work with the Boosters to raise money -suggestion for a bake sale at Olivers -offering to use Venmo, 501c3 Booster -suggested a Dine & Donate and giving proceeds to music program -Playing music in front of stores on the green -planning on two concerts in the school year -Donations at concert -suggestions to send the request for funding to parents
• Mrs. Coursey, farm to table elective needs -has received a lot of grants so far. -needs help with the cost of food purchases. Costs her $125-$140 a month to purchase food. -needs about $500-$700 for the rest of the year. -Sent home a grocery list with students and that was somewhat successful. -Parents suggested resending the list as they would be able to help more now. -Also suggested reaching out to Olivers about donations for food supplies.
