Open Meeting Minutes

Date: September 10, 2025

Time: 4:02pm

Location: WMS Library

Attendance: Amanda Dunbar, Angela West, Cherie Piland, Joni Wellington, Jessica Miller, Tiffany Eskew, Nicole Gross, Jillann Humphrey, Jenn Brown, Sally Savas, Emma Ballard, Paula Reyes, and Trisha Grambow. No attendees via zoom

Executive Reports:

Welcome: Amanda Dunbar

• Introduction of all attendees

Secretary Report: Cherie Piland

• Approve Minutes from the previous meeting – board approved (8/8 vote).

Treasurer’s Report: Tiffany Eskew

• Current Balance: $41,315.76. Need to cut a check to WHS Cheer for $23,301.58 and Ms. Olsen for $235.00. Leaving boosters balance at $17,779.18.

Committee Reports:

• Pickleball Night: Jenn Brown

o Need volunteers to help day of and to get players signed up for lessons. Price increases to $50 on 9/15/25. Send info to culinary parents, they may want to attend since their children will be making food for event. Jenn to make a video to post on socials to promote event.

• Swag:

o Approved to sell at WHS football, flag football, and volleyball games. Cushions will arrive on 9/18/25. Blankets will not be here until mid October. Sign ups are out for volunteers to sell at games, volunteers selling get in free to games. Amanda to ask about selling at freshman games. Can sell beanie’s (they will have a small “W” patch on the front.

Other:

• Fall Theater Production: Boosters funded $235.00.

• Change War: Amanda

o Kids feedback was that we need to do it annually. 8 th graders are not as interested in participating since they are leaving. Tie in with spirit weeks and back to school night.

o 7 th graders won with raising $62.45. 6th graders raised $45.38. Popsicles to be handed out to 7th graders on 9/17/25 after school – need 289 and trash can for wrappers.

• WHS Poker Tournament:

o WHS agreed with Angela that 3% of all gross proceeds go to Boosters. Boosters promoted at top of website as host.

o Date changed to 11/8/25.

o Look into selling swag, have raffle baskets or a live auction.

• Board Position:

o Trisha Grambow fills communications position.

• Open Discussion:

o Ask leadership if they can help get followers on socials, make videos.

o Look into boosters being able to post on district socials.
